Bryan Johnson, the millionaire CEO, who is chasing immortality believes that being sexually active is deeply connected to a healthy lifestyle. In the latest episode at the Ranveer Show, he talked about sex-drive in men, what limits it and why it’s important.
He shared that while building his companies early in his career, he had no sex drive for 14 years due to lack of proper sleep and poor diet.
“Sex was the last thing in the entire world I was interested in,” he said. But he managed to improve it by multiple tests and adopting an anti-aging diet which involves eating organic food within a six-hour window by 11 am.
Talking more about sex drive, Johnson said that men who do not have night time erections are 70 percent more likely to die prematurely. Based on the data from multiple tests he conducted, Johnson said that an average male should have three to five episodes of erections per night. This should amount to about 145 minutes each night.
“By the time you’re 75, that reduces to about 50 minutes. So it dramatically declines with age,” he said.

Johnson further revealed that he managed to increase his episodes from 130 minutes to about three hours through focus shock wave therapy and botox sessions. “When you’re not sleeping well, your nighttime erections will vanish. So it shows that manliness is health. Masculinity is health. You can’t skip on health and still be masculine.”
He said that women also have the same arousing episodes as men every night.
However, Johnson said that a person’s genetic makeup also matters as there are individuals who are above him in the fitness chart without doing much for their health.
When asked if masturbation is good for health, Johnson said that there is data suggesting that there is benefit for ejaculation and having orgasms. “I think being sexually active is generally a healthy thing,” he said.
