The long-awaited Do Patti has finally hit Netflix, starring Kriti Sanon, Kajol, and Shaheer Sheikh in a suspense-filled thriller set against a mysterious storyline. The film, directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi, has been one of the most anticipated OTT releases of the year. Kriti, in a bold dual-role performance as twin sisters Shailee and Saumya, impressed viewers with her skill at portraying contrasting personalities. Shaheer Sheikh also received praise for his role, while Kajol brought her signature intensity to the screen. However, despite the film’s star power, it seems to be struggling to resonate due to a weak screenplay and a storyline that left fans wanting more.

Do Patti follows the story of twin sisters, Shailee and Saumya, who find themselves entangled in a web of suspense and unexpected revelations. The thriller promises an intense exploration of familial bonds against a backdrop of mounting tension and hidden truths.

While Kriti’s fans flooded social media with praise for her dual role execution, feedback about the overall movie has been less forgiving. Twitter users, for instance, have voiced concerns about the storytelling, citing issues with direction and depth of characters. One viewer remarked, “#DoPatti is as flat as it can get. Kajol, Kriti, and Shaheer are sincere in their roles, but the fault lies with the writing and direction. The characters lack depth and are so unconvincing.”

This lack of depth, coupled with an underwhelming storyline, seems to be the main criticism for Do Patti. The suspense elements appear diluted by a script that doesn’t quite pull the audience into its web as effectively as hoped.

Despite the movie’s flaws, Kriti Sanon’s portrayal of the twins is being hailed as one of the best performances of her career. One fan tweeted, “Kriti! The way you portrayed Shailee and Saumya was effortless. You pulled off such contrasting personalities with such ease. Just too good! Shailee & Saumya are going to be one of the most memorable characters.”

Do patti movie review – Engaging and interesting first half. The second half is disturbing. The climax is quite predictable. Kriti is outstanding, Shaheer is fab, Kajol’s accent is a turn off. Overall the film is a decent one time watch without many jaw dropping twists.
