Samsung has launched Galaxy A16 mid-range smartphone in India. The highlights of the smartphone includes 6.7-inch display with 90Hz refresh rate, an IP54 dust and water resistance rating, MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

Samsung Galaxy A16 will compete against the likes of OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite, Realme Narzo 70 Pro, Poco X6 5G and more.

The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G comes in two storage options. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is launched at Rs 18,999 while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant will cost you Rs 20,999. In terms of colours, it will be available in Blue Black, Gold, and Light Green colour variants.

The smartphone will go on sale across Samsung.com, Amazon, Flipkart, and other retail stores. As for the sale offers, Axis and SBI credit card users will get a cashback of up to Rs 1,000 on their purchase.

Samsung Galaxy A16 specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, 8GB of RAM, and offers up to 256GB of storage. Additionally, the storage can be expanded to 1TB using a microSD card. The device is set to receive six OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

For photography, the Galaxy A16 5G comes with a triple rear camera setup, featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. For selfies, it is equipped with a 13-megapixel front camera.

The Galaxy A16 5G is a slimmer device compared to its predecessors, measuring only 7.9mm thick. This is a significant improvement from the 8.4mm thickness of previous models. The phone also boasts an IP54-certified build, making it resistant to splashes and dust.

The smartphone is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W charging. According to the manufacturer, the Galaxy A16 5G can provide up to 2.5 days of playback time on a single charge.
