OnePlus has rolled out its Android 15 based OxygenOS 15 update for its users in India. As per the company, the software update focuses on better speed, AI features and design. It aims to offer a ‘faster and smooth’ experience.
OxygenOS 15: What’s New
The Android 15 based OxygenOS 15 brings new animations and improved usability through its innovative Parallel Processing technology. The company claims that it enables seamless app transitions and smooth performance, even during heavy usage. OxygenOS 15 will reduce system storage usage by nearly 20% compared to OxygenOS 14 on the OnePlus 12.

The new software features an updated boot animation, refreshed icons, more shelf card options, and additional fingerprint unlocking styles. OnePlus has also introduced “comprehensive Shimmering Effects” and “Gaussian Blur” throughout the system for a more natural and harmonious visual experience. The Settings menu, notification bar, and control center have all been streamlined for easier navigation.

For photography, it also comes with an AI Detail Boost feature that claims to enhance low-quality images to 4K resolution quickly. AI Unblur feature improves blurry images, and AI Reflection Eraser removes unwanted reflections from photos. Both features are part of the AI Toolbox in the smart sidebar. The AI Toolbox also includes AI Reply, which can suggest appropriate responses to your conversations.

There are a bunch of more AI features rolled out in the update. Intelligent Search uses AI to enhance on-device search. OxygenOS 15 introduces Circle to Search, and Google Gemini will replace Google Assistant on the OnePlus 13. Pass Scan quickly scans paper or digital boarding passes. AI Notes offers features like formatting, content adjustment, and formality control, ensuring well-structured and polished notes. AI Notes also supports voice input.

OxygenOS 15: Eligible Devices
The OxygenOS update will roll out to older flagship models such as the OnePlus 10 Pro and OnePlus 11, as well as mid-range models like the OnePlus Nord series and tablets like the OnePlus Pad.
OxygenOS 15: How To Download
Make sure to back up your data before updating your smartphone to OxygenOS 15. Here are the steps that you need to follow:
- Go to Settings > About phone > Software update.
- If available, connect to Wi-Fi, ensure sufficient battery, and follow the prompts to install.
- Download the update from the OnePlus site, transfer it to your device, and install via Settings > System updates > Local upgrade.
