As more reports emerge about death threats against Salman Khan, his ex-Somy Ali wrote an open letter to the gangster recently. In the social media post, Somy referred to Lawrence Bishnoi as ‘bhai’ and offered to visit his temple in Rajasthan to perform a prayer. In the post, she requested his phone number and talked about her wish to discuss some important matters with him over a Zoom call. She also claimed that it would be beneficial for him. Now in an interview with Free Press Journal she had opened up about her reasons behind wanting to get in touch with the Bishnois.

When asked if it has something to do with her past connection with Salman Khan, she told the portal, “Not at all. My wish to speak to Lawrence has nothing to do with my past with Salman. This is about fostering peace and dialogue, particularly in matters related to justice and the environment—values that the Bishnoi community deeply cares about.”

Ali also opened up about the death threats and said, “I am not aware of how these events have impacted Salman personally. However, threats like that can certainly be distressing.”

She also added that she has apologiesed on the actor’s behalf in the past but it won’t do any good. She said, “Yes, I have offered apologies on Salman’s behalf before, and I deeply respect the Bishnoi community. I would love to visit their temples and pray there. While I aim to encourage peaceful conversations, any apology for past actions should come from those directly involved.”

She also told the portal that she hopes Salman would apologise as that is the only way it would make any difference. Ali was quoted saying, “A genuine apology holds more value when it comes from the person directly responsible. My aim is to encourage dialogue and foster understanding, not offer proxy apologies. True reconciliation only comes when both sides are ready for open and honest communication.”

According to reports, Salman Khan is set to resume filming amid the death threats with more security. A new report has also asked for money is exchange for the threats to stop.
