In a new episode of Mashable India’s The Bombay Journey, Bollywood actors Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri made an appearance to promote their latest movie, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, which has been directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa. Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is a comedy movie set in the nineties.

During the conversation, Triptii Dimri, who gained national fame after starring in Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, said that when she first moved to Mumbai, her initial acting job was starring in a Santoor advertisement.

For those who don’t know, Santoor is a soap brand that has lately become synonymous with good-looking-moms, where a mother who appears to be breathtakingly beautiful is called a ‘Santoor mom.’

Rajkummar Rao did ask if she played a mother, to which Triptii Dimri replied saying, ‘yes, I did.’ She also said that she was very excited about the shoot and was happy to work in the industry in any capacity at all. She also said that she shot for the ad in Madh Island and Marine Drive and, because she was very new to Mumbai, she spent most of her time traveling around the city.

Meanwhile, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video performed average at the box office, raking in a total of Rs. 44.63 crore worldwide after releasing on 11 October 2024.

Apart from Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video also starred Vijay Raaz, Mallika Sherawat, Mast Ali, Archana Puran Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Rakesh Bedi, Tiku Talsania, Ashwini Kalsekar, Mubeen Saudagar, Ishtiyak Khan, and Manjot Singh, and Shehnaaz Gill, Daler Mehndi, and Deepika Padukone in special appearances.
